“ The servers were very nice but we had some food mix ups which was super frustrating. My friend and I had similar omelettes and they ended up with each other’s food. Since it was our first time we didn’t know what the omelettes would look like. My friend had actually had eaten off my omelette and they didn’t offer to replace it. But the food was very good and the grits especially were very creamy and fully cooked which you don’t always find at restaurants. We would definitely come again but be more careful to make sure we get the right plates. ”
“ Canopy Road Café was an excellent choice for breakfast. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere. The interior had a cozy and modern feel, making it a comfortable spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. The staff was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure we had everything we needed. Even though the place was busy, service remained efficient and pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the steak and eggs with breakfast potatoes and toast, and everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and flavorful, the eggs were just the way I liked them, and the breakfast potatoes had a nice crispy texture with great seasoning. My wife went with the pancakes and a side of biscuits and gravy. The pancakes were fluffy and had a great taste, while the biscuits and gravy were rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The portion sizes were generous, leaving us both full and satisfied. Overall, our experience at Canopy Road Café was fantastic. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a comfortable setting made for a memorable breakfast. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality breakfast spot. ”
“ I wanted to try someplace new, so I googled for nearest vegetarian breakfast, and I did not feel like cooking. When I first walked in, Jake greeted me warmly which was a +, because I have been to other places, and am usually ignored. I explained it was my first time visit and asked for a to go menu. I ordered the veggie breakfast skillet (with scrambled eggs), side of a small bowl of fruit, and the "sweet potato pancake" instead of toast, and some cranberry juice. I paid for my order and sat near the entrance while my order was prepared. Jake checked in with me as he continued to greet and seat customers (whether couples or families or individuals), updating me on the wait time. I learned from him the café was about 5 years old. He told me that before he worked at CRC, he was a customer. He asked if I was new to the area and I replied no, that I had moved to the area in 2019. Jake also put up holiday decorations for halloween. He asked if I celebrated and I told him that I never had based on where I grew up (in Liberia, West Africa). But when raising my own children, we didn't. But years later as adults, my 3 kids told me that as pre-teens and teens, they went trick or treating while I was at work. . Jake asked if I liked Christmas and I said yes, with Thanksgiving being my favorite since November is my birth month! Once my food was ready, Jake gave me my food and said he hoped to see me again. To me, that was great customer service, especially since he remembered my name! As I drove home, I ate the fruit. I was impressed with the intentional arrangement of the fruit, a thin slice of orange on top, chunks of cantaloupe, sliced 's, 's, and on the bottom - blueberries. At home, the sweet potato pancake was awesome!!! It was topped with candied pecans and cinnamon butter. For me, there was no need of syrup. Kudos to the Chef! I will definitely return with family, neighbors and friends! ”
“ Updated 8/29/25 Kennedy in the kitchen is making some of the best omelettes I ever had in my life!!! AMAZING JOB! We even asked for him in the kitchen he gave us a wave!!! Oh man and them biscuits….wow! We will be back with others. We came in about 45 mins before closing on a Saturday. The hostess was not very accommodating and left us standing at the counter. Our waitress was great. Very helpful and friendly. She made a couple of suggestions and then took our order. The avocado toast is simply amazing!! I passed on the fruit because of allergies and went with the sliced tomatoes. Delicious. The BLT was fabulous and the fries seasoned perfectly. We split a nicely warmed Blueberry muffin. Everything with a 20% tip was $40.00. We will be back for breakfast. ”
“ First time here. Staff were nice and quick. Could use some small renovations with cracked seats, flickering led under the bar. Otherwise cute diner feel. Food was colorful. Avocado toast needed a little more toasting with a barrier of oil, it was soggy before it I could finish half. It felt like guacamole rather than slices and getting that fresh flavor of avocado. French toast was good. ”
